After a brief introduction and safari briefing, we will start a luxurious 2-hour drive through Rwanda’s iconic “Land of a Thousand Hills.”
Along the way, enjoy breathtaking countryside views, lush terraced hills and glimpses of local life.

Arrive in Volcanoes National Park in the late afternoon and check in to the prestigious One&Only Gorilla’s Nest, a haven of modern luxury seamlessly woven into the natural beauty of the Virunga Mountains.

Spend your evening at leisure, perhaps enjoying a soothing spa treatment or a private dinner overlooking the misty forest.

After an elegant breakfast, you will be transferred in your private luxury 4x4 to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters for a morning briefing on your gorilla trekking adventure.
You will be assigned one of the 12 habituated mountain gorilla families. Accompanied by expert rangers and porters, trek through the lush bamboo forest and volcanic terrain until you encounter these magnificent giants.

Spend one magical hour observing gorillas in their natural habitat, a once-in-a-lifetime, heart-stirring experience. Capture this intimate moment as they feed, play and interact within their family groups.

Return to your lodge for a well-deserved gourmet lunch and afternoon relaxation by the pool or fireplace lounge.

These playful primates are a joy to watch, found only in the Virunga Conservation Area. Your guided trek will take you deep into the bamboo zones where the golden monkeys live in large, lively troops, a delightful contrast to the calmness of gorillas.

In the afternoon, embark on a guided hike to the Dian Fossey Tomb, a tribute to the world-renowned primatologist whose work saved mountain gorillas from extinction.
This scenic and emotional hike takes you through lush forest, offering stunning views and a deeper appreciation for conservation.

Return to your lodge for a relaxing evening, perhaps complemented by fine wine, a private bonfire or a personalized dinner experience under the stars.

After a leisurely breakfast surrounded by the tranquility of the Volcanoes region, check out and drive back to Kigali (approximately 2.5–3 hours).
